Lancashire RFU are delighted to confirm that Ben Hyde will begin his new role as Women’s Rugby Head Coach from January 1 2026.
His coaching career over 8 years has included London Irish, Sale Sharks, University of Manchester and Lancashire County Women.
Commenting on the news Hyde said “After two seasons in the programme as backs & attack coach, I'm excited about the opportunity to be head coach for Lancashire Women. It's a privilege to get to work with such a talented group of players and coaches. I’m looking to build on the successes of the last two seasons and excited by the challenge. I can't wait to get started.”
Lancashire Womens & Girls lead Kate Benetta added "We’re delighted to welcome Ben as our new Women’s Head Coach. He brings a wealth of experience, fresh energy, and an exciting vision for the team. I am looking forward to working with Ben again in his new role"
News on a Lancashire Women coaching team and training schedule will be announced in the new year in preparation for county fixtures in May.
It is anticipated that player nominations and trials will take place in February 2026.
