Principles
- The Lancashire Senior Colts and Junior Colts Cup and Trophy knock out competitons celebrate and recognise Colts endeavour.
- The cup competitons are scheduled within the Colts Structured Season and administered by the Lancashire RFU Colts Committee.
- Frank Morgan U18 Cup
- Joe McDonough U18 Trophy
- Rob Briers U17 Cup
- Alan James U17 Trophy
- Entry Forms are normally published in early September and the first round draw announced mid September.
- Lancashire Colts Cup & Trophy ties use EMC Match Cards which must be submitted acording to the regulations.
- First round losers in the Cup progress to the respective Trophy competitions.
- The County Colts Cup Finals are held at the end of the season in April.

NORTH WEST COLTS LEAGUE
Now in its 26th year, the North West Colts League has grown beyond its Lancashire and Cheshire origins to include teams from Cumbria, Staffordshire and Shropshire but its ethos remains unchanged. The aim of the Colts League is to retain, recruit and develop U17 and U18 players through regular competitive fixtures and thereby provide a conduit from Junior Rugby to the Senior game. Player inclusion and development is maintained above League placing or the winning of trophies. Leagues are seeded to ensure competitive rugby between closely matched teams and fixtures for Junior U17 and Senior U18 colts are organised within the Colts Structured Season. Colts League Cup Competitions
The NW Colts League Cup Competition (not to be confused with the Lancashire County Colts Cup) provides additional Cross-League games towards the end of the season. Teams are seeded into the Cup or Plate dependant on where they finish in the League. There is a second stage Bowl & Shield competition for those Teams losing in the 1st round of the Cup or Plate. Entry into thre League Cup is automatic and free of charge to all Colts League Member Teams.
